Connecting landownders with the right solutions, first.
Every property has a story.
Long before buildings were constructed, fences were installed, or gardens were planted, the land was already telling one.
The way water moves across a property. The mature trees that have quietly shaped the landscape for decades. The native plant communities that still remain. The subtle clues that reveal what once thrived there, what wildlife could return to it, and what plants are actually meant to be a part of the picture.
My Background
In 2020, just before graduating from the University of Houston, I began working at a native plant focused nursery in Houston, Texas. I spent 4 years there learning foundational knowledge about native plants and ecosystems (and dreaming about this business) before leaving and launching RR Dreamscapes full time. I was fascinated by the relationships between plants, soil, and wildlife- but I was also intrigued by the amount of people who seemed frustrated by the process at every stage.
In 2024, I left that job to pursue what I thought would be “native landscaping” full time. I spent the first year of my business doing landscaping for clients.
But something still felt off.
Most people would reach out to me after they’d already made expensive investments into their homes or properties. Then I’d come along only to tell them that the actions they’d already taken were actually steps in the wrong direciton.
Mature trees had already been removed.
Drainage problems had been built into the landscape.
Healthy native ecosystems had been cleared before anyone understood what was there.
By the time I was called, many of the most important decisions had already been made.
I watched how disconnected people felt from their own properties. They wanted beautiful landscapes, but they weren't sure who to trust, where to begin, or how to make decisions that would actually serve the land long term.
Time after time, I found myself delivering the same message:
"I wish we'd talked before this happened."
Over time, I realized most people weren't hiring me because they needed help choosing plants.
They were hiring me because they needed someone they could trust before making important decisions about their property.
Today, my work has evolved beyond landscape design.
I serve as an ecological advisor to property owners who want to make thoughtful, informed decisions about the future of their land.
Whether I'm evaluating a family ranch, helping someone understand newly purchased acreage, or developing a long-term vision for a residential property, my goal is always the same:
To help people understand what makes their land unique before asking it to become something else.
My unqiue point of view is rooted in understanding, appreciation for native ecosystems, and a desire to bring back the wildlife that belong here.
Beyond Client Work
Curiosity has always been at the center of my work.
I'm endlessly fascinated by the relationships between ecology, geology, history, hydrology, wildlife, and the ways people interact with the land around them.
That curiosity has led me to become a speaker, educator, and content creator, sharing practical ecological knowledge with thousands of homeowners, professionals, and land stewards across Texas.
Whether I'm leading a property walk, speaking to an audience, or creating educational resources, my hope is always the same:
That people leave seeing their land as a resource in need of nurturing and understanding.
I believe every great property deserves a thoughtful plan before expensive decisions are made.
If you're looking for someone to help you understand your property's existing strengths, uncover its hidden opportunities, and steward it thoughtfully for years to come, I'd love to walk the land with you.
Making Dreamscapes Come True.
